With the increased use of telematics across the board, the development of excellent communications is of critical strategic importance to the region's universities. All of the Universities are founder members.

The NorMAN Management Board is currently exploring ways of encouraging the most appropriate and effective collaborative uses. Here are a few of the activities which are either under way, under discussion or being considered by ALL of the North Eastern Universities as well as with many of the Further Education Institutions across the North East:

  • Ongoing Communication, ideas and analysis
  • Streaming Media
  • NorMAN Mail-scanner Service
  • Student Support (laptops etc)
  • Helpdesk Support
  • Disaster Recovery/Business Continuity
  • Consultancy
